Verdun DBC Practice Schedule
Outdoor practice
From May 1 through September 30 we practice at the 22 Dragons facility at the Lachine Canal.
Directions to the outdoor practice Park at the Gadbois Center at 5485 Chemin de la Cote St Paul where there are change rooms. Cross the canal on the pedestrian bridge to the 22 Dragons dock. We practice rain or shine. If it is cold be sure to wear multiple layers--no cotton. Note that the canal may be closed following a heavy rainfall. The practice will then take place in Lachine. Check the 22 Dragons website for last minute closures of the canal after a significant rainfall.
If you cannot attend a practice, notify the training coordinator.
Indoor practice
From mid-November to April 30 we practice at the Olympic Basin Paddling Centre on Ile Notre Dame. All team members are expected to attend one of the practices scheduled each week
If you cannot attend a practice, notify the training coordinator so that your space can be used by someone else.
Check before switching indoor training sessions as some practices are pretty full.
Directions to the paddling centre
By Metro: take the Metro to the Parc Jean Drapeau station on Ile Saint-Helene. Upon exiting the station turn left and follow the road past the Biosphere and cross the bridge to Ile Notre-Dame. Turn left at the end of the bridge and walk about 200 metres to the paddling centre. An access card required for entry will be provided by the club.
